As part of the Blue Metropolis Festival, Expozine brings together members of two Montreal small press poetry collectives on April 25 at 5:30 PM, 10 Sherbrooke O.

Working in their respective languages, the artisanal periodicals Tantôt and RODAISUN have created vibrant spaces for new voices and poetic experimentation. The five poet-editors of the two magazines will join the Expozine team to discuss collective publishing, their editorial and graphic influences, and the challenges of producing small-press, artisanal magazines—along with the often blurred boundary between zines and magazines.

The event will conclude with a short collective reading. Bilingual readings; conversation in French and English.

I REMEMBER: A writing workshop inspired by the work of Joe Brainard

7pm - April 16, 2026 - Parquette - 1345 Rue de Bellechasse, Montréal

Writing prompts by RODAISUN, music by Aaron Dolman, Kevin LaFleur, and Zach Bachand. Second hand books for sale by Pomes Books.

Joe Brainard (1942-1944) was a New York School artist and writer whose unconventional memoir I Remember transformed what autobiographical writing can be. Made up of 1,000+ brief memories, the book shows how the deeply personal can also be profoundly universal — something RDS has been exploring for the past five years.

What to expect:

→ Live music + drinks at Parquette

→ Books by Pomes 2nd Hand Books

→ Writing prompts inspired by Brainard

→ Optional group reading / performance
